My name is Bobbie Adamczyk and I am privileged to be the Art Teacher at NES! Each day awesome artists in Kindergarten through fifth grades demonstrate their creative abilities. I always look forward to viewing their amazing work! In addition to making art in class, students have the following opportunities to participate in art activities:
Art Club (4th & 5th grade students)
Tuesday mornings at 7:30 in the art room
PTA Reflections
Students in grades K-5 are invited to enter artwork based on the theme "The Magic of a Moment". Entries should be returned to the art room no later than October 3rd. Six winners from our school, one from each grade level, will participate in the Gwinnett County Exhibit!
Chairs for Charity
Art club members decorate chairs that will by sold during the Norcross Art Fest. The Norcross Arts Alliance sponsors this fundraiser to raise money for art programs in the Norcross Cluster!
Capitol Art Exhibit
The Capitol Art Exhibit is sponsored by the Georgia Art Education Association and the Secretary of State. Two students from NES will have their artwork on display!
Tapestry
Artwork from NES students, along with other Gwinnett County Schools, will be on display at the Instructional Support Center in Lawrenceville. This special event supports visual art in our schools!
Empty Bowls
Students create ceramic bowls to sell during our annual Montage event. All of the proceeds go to the Norcross Food Co-op.
Montage
Montage is our school's annual presentation of art, music and physical education. This exciting program features the diverse talents and abilities of NES students!
